Chip Off the Old Block

Since purchasing my graphics tablet I've been treated on a regular basis to, "Dad can I draw on your computer? Dad can I draw on your computer? DAD! Can I draw on your computer???"

They finally broke me down this weekend and I let them have a try at it. Older-by-two-minutes daughter took to it like a duck to water and was turning out art very similar to what she does with physical medium.

Christy pointed out the, "I WILL KILL YOU!" look on the face of the guy in green. (That's Link from The Legend of Zelda. I'm not sure if it's Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess Link)

Slightly-younger daughter had a much more difficult time, scribbling violently as I winced on, that eventually ended in tears. I let her know most people find it difficult to adjust to using the tablet and that she could try again another time. The explanation seemed to satisfy her frustration; that or she was immediately distracted by her legos.

Thank GOD for Legos. Isn't it funny how one child may be able topick something up, and another is at a totally different place?

Great picture!

JA: I have almost as much fun as they do playing with legos.

It's funny, though both girls have traits of both of us the one that drew this picture tips a little more towards being like me.
